When I use the search function, some icons turn green. Why? |
| A. |
When the search function executes, it flags all documents that contain the text, date or announcement date that you specified in the search function. This makes it easier to spot which documents contain the text that you searched (HINT: red icons are discontinued products and products with black text are products marked for forced download during next update.) Colors can be changed within Preferences.

What is the HP Product Bulletin Gateway? |
| A. |
Some users expressed the need to have a single PC download the updated QuickSpecs to a central location on their own file server, so that other users in the office could direct their HP Product Bulletin program to retrieve updates from that location, instead of the Internet Website. This helps dramatically cut down on Internet traffic in offices where there are many HP Product Bulletin users. HP Product Bulletin Gateway is a small program that resides on a single PC that has a connection to the Internet. You can schedule HP Product Bulletin Gateway to download the updated QuickSpecs on a regular basis to a specified, in-house location. The in-house users of the HP Product Bulletin can then change their preferences to point to that location for updates.
